Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy Earns Accreditations from URAC, ACHC (2024)

DEERFIELD, Ill., AUG, 6, 2024 – Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy has received Mail Service Pharmacy Accreditation* from URAC for its home delivery pharmacy services, and Specialty Pharmacy Service Accreditation for select community-based specialty pharmacies from Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).

Accreditation is a process through which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. This accreditation demonstrates Walgreens’ commitment to quality and ongoing improvement.

URAC is a leading independent healthcare accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the healthcare industry. Walgreens earned full accredited status in the Mail Service Pharmacy, Version 5.0 Program, which covers core organizational quality, customer service, communications and disclosure, drug utilization management, pharmacy operations, and a process for mail service outcomes measurement and quality improvement.

ACHC is an internationally recognized accrediting body committed to providers, customer service, and quality patient care. ACHC granted the select community-based specialty pharmacy sites the ACHC Specialty Pharmacy Service Accreditation.

The URAC award is effective from July 1, 2024, to July 1, 2027. This ACHC award is effective from June 29, 2024, through July 28, 2027.
