I'm often asked about my 'I made it moment' in social media and when I knew I wanted to pursue this career full-time. To be honest, there wasn't a single, defining moment. Every day, I'm still discovering new aspects of this dynamic field, which keeps me motivated and eager to learn more. That's why I'm here— not only to share my journey but also to learn from the experiences of others. Each story has its unique insights and strategies, and I believe we can all benefit from sharing them. Did you have a pivotal moment in your career when everything clicked? I’d love to hear about your experiences and what lessons you’ve drawn from them. Please share your stories in the comments below!#BrookeMonk #SocialMedia #ContentCreator

You guys ask me a lot. Whenever I make connections with new people, one of the first questions I get is what was your I made-up moment. Like yes, I've made it on social media. I can do this. I did it, and everyone recognizes that I did. And to be honest, I don't have one because I always feel like you can really grow as a content creator, as a person, as a businesswoman. So I don't have a moment yet where I'm like, yes, I've made it because there's so much more that I want to do before I feel like I can qualify for that. I'm proud of where I am and how far I've come, but there's always room for growth and always. Room to learn more. So I really haven't had that moment yet where I completely feel like I've made it. I'm very proud of where I'm at and I'm very grateful for all the help I've had along the way and all insight from you guys. But I will let you know when I actually have that I made it moment maybe after I do a couple more business ventures that I'm really interested in hearing about. So if you guys have any suggestions or tell me about how you had your first I made it moment in your career path on LinkedIn and the comments, I would love that. Thank you so much.

I think this depends! For me, seeing comments from those within the brand community I have built up giving me status updates such as "Hey! Just wanted to let you know that me and X are getting married. We met through your livestreams and we wanted to personally thank you for making our lives better". I have seen a few of these so far. So I am super happy that I was able to connect folks in this way.

I dealt with self doubt and imposter syndrome until my son was born. Then a switch flipped and I felt like I could take on anything. I still have fears, but I know I can do this for him.

~The duality in finding organic connections ~Call this is an end-of-the-week thought, however, I often notice creators on LinkedIn with so many connections. These are people who are very young in their careers and still have 500-1000+ connections. I often wonder, how many of these connections are real? Is it really possible for someone to know so many individuals? Are these people you have met or talked to at least once or simply people in the same field who are sending you requests only to have a high connection number. Why is it all a number game, first with social media and now with a platform considered to be quite 'professional'? At the end, it is you who decides where you draw the line for yourself. #numbergame #thoughts #careerbuilding #career

Now back to me🙂↕I want to keep you all in the loop about what happened during Q2. I explored various opportunities, which was worth it. I'll be making several posts and I'm considering merging all into a single post or sharing them one by one. I think I'll go with the latter, as more detailed experiences are better, right?Look out for my upcoming posts 💃🏿

💡Is LinkedIn helpful ? I’ve been using this platform for almost 2 years now. Having started with it in my early days of college, i thought i had an edge over others in terms of understanding the corporate, networking, up-skilling or maybe procuring better opportunities. And YES, it did help with that to some extent but does that mean you always have it all figured out? A big “NO” ❌ I have shared my past experiences on this platform , but having had the days of not doing something worthwhile has unconsciously put me through this pressure of not being diligent enough. We talk about toxicity of other social media platforms, but i guess it’s the same here on LinkedIn - the constant comparison, yearning for better opportunities, trying to fit in the crowd and making futile efforts in order to succeed. And after days of contemplation, I’ve realised that my insecurities like everyone else’s have stemmed from within. As long as you’re working on yourself (even a little everyday), you’ll never be triggered by someone’s accomplishments and if not, then even the basic achievement of a person will make you feel small. Being on this platform is no win-or-bust. Let’s not confuse it for that !! #linkedinforcreators #thoughtsoftheday #linkedingrowth #successmindset #whatdoyouthink

It’s a confusing and frustrating time on LinkedIn when you change industries. The content and audience you spent years shaping doesn’t fit quite so well anymore, and your network quickly becomes a mix of old and new.Your new posts don’t resonate the same with those you used to interact with, so engagement and consistency drops. Yet - at the same time - you have so much to say about the exciting new things you’re doing. It’s hard to know which direction to go in, and who to write for.Sigh.Have you ever taken a different career path and had to navigate that grey area? What helped you do it?Would love to hear your experiences down below 👇🏼 #newcareer #greyarea #careerpath

Sometimes, our efforts speak louder than words. In the past month, I've been actively engaging on LinkedIn while exploring new opportunities. It's moments like these that remind us of the impact of our actions. Recently, my former manager, Tom Rodriguez, reached out with kind words, acknowledging my increased presence on the platform and offering well wishes for my job search. It's a powerful reminder that consistency and dedication do not go unnoticed. Keep pushing forward, even when you think no one is watching – because often, they are. #veteran #intentional #actions
